Bregenz
Lindau
Hello guys!
It's been 3 months since my trip to Lichtenstein, Austria and Germany but I didn't have any time to continue my post. If you haven't read a post about my time in Lichtenstein, definitely check it out here because that's where my trip started.
So we left Vaduz, Lichtenstein and we continued to Bregenz, Austria. I didn't expect anything after Lichtenstein but I was pleasantly surprised. I think it was my favorite part of the trip. We went to the cableway to get to the summit overlooking the Bregenz. The cableway is called Pfänderbahn and it lies at an altitude of 420 meters. From the top you can see the city of Bregenz and Lake Constance. We had some free time there and then we continued to the center of the city. You can find there many of interesting sights such as the Church of the Sacred Heart, The Martinsturm, Ancient City Wall, Congress and Culture Center and many more. Then we went to the ferry and we continued to Lindau in Germany.
It takes about 30 minutes by ferry and you are in Germany! It was my first time in Germany so I was pretty exciting. I found Lindau very similar to Bregenz but it also had something special. When we got out of the ferry, we could see the old famous harbour entrance with lighthouse and Bavarian lion sculpture. We could also see the Mangturm Tower which lies at the harbour. Then we went to the center of the city to explore some sights. There we could see the old Town Museum, Altes Rathaus, Diebsturm, Church of St. Stephan and more. Then we had a free time so we explored the old streets in the center and it was truly amazing. I really love these old little streets with coffee shops, restaurants and souvenirs. We ended up in the coffee shop mainly because of the rain and then we met our group and went home.
I have to say it was an amazing trip, three countries in one day but I still enjoyed it as much as I could. I've never been to Lichtenstein and Germany before so I'm glad I had the opportunity to visit it. Austria is one of my favorite countries I've been to, so I really have nothing more to say.
Thank you for reading!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Love Terri
